Dock Door and Capacity Planning
Based on predefined resource and capacity rules, time slot bookings automatically reserve the appropriate dock door and loading position, ensuring optimal dock assignment for every loading or unloading operation. Trucks arriving without a time slot booking can be scheduled into the remaining available slots.
Picking Planning by Dock
Plan picking tasks by dock door based on scheduled time slot bookings, or assign a dock door to a picking task and call the truck to the appropriate dock when the load is ready. Whichever workflow you choose, GLABs supports your operation without limitations.
Truck Call
Call the driver to the selected dock door with a single click. Drivers receive the call via the GLABs Truck Call mobile app, SMS, a driver waiting area display, or an outdoor parking display.
Has the Truck Arrived Early or Is It Delayed?
No problem. With a clear overview of the entire day’s loading schedule, you can respond flexibly to changes. Reschedule the loading or unloading operation to the next available time slot or move it to another available dock door.
Delay Forecasting
In addition to the online time slot booking interface, drivers can report expected delays via the GLABs Truck Call mobile app. Simply reschedule the loading or unloading operation to another available time slot, and GLABs automatically notifies everyone affected by the change.
Rescheduling
With Dock Management, you have all the information you need to reschedule loading and unloading operations efficiently. Select a new time slot and reschedule the operation. GLABs notifies all relevant stakeholders of the change and ensures that the required dock capacity is available at the new scheduled time.
Picking Planning
Based on dock door bookings, you can easily plan warehouse picking tasks and assign them to your warehouse team using the Task Management module. Once picking is complete, the task can be marked as completed to indicate that the shipment is ready for loading.
Calendar or List View?
No need to compromise. Manage your daily loading and unloading schedule in either calendar or list view, depending on which gives you the clearest operational overview.
Real-Time Dock Management
Monitor dock door occupancy and availability in real time based on ongoing site operations. When needed, you can also use the Go:TAB tablet on the warehouse floor to check dock status and monitor warehouse operations directly at the loading docks.
